15 steps guide to a healthy life style
- Start your day with 3-4 glasses of lukewarm water. Add a tablespoon
of honey and fresh lime juice. If drinking this much water is too much
for you, start with 1-2 glasses a day and gradually increase the intake.
- Exercise daily. It may be as little as half an hour a day and as simple
as brisk walk or running.
- If you have time, practice yoga and meditation. It will bring peace
in your life and help you focus better.
- Never ever skip breakfast. Remember you already have a long break
after last night dinner and your system needs fuel to help you keep
going. Worse is to have only caffeine in the morning. Your body needs
healthy breakfast to help you last for the entire day.
- Take staircase down rather than lift. It will not cost you much in
terms of time but is a good way to keep fit
- Do not skip lunch. Too much time between meals causes acidity and
heart burns. Don't treat lunch time as a waste of your precious time.
Your body also needs breaks and devote adequate time to finish your
lunch.
- Avoid fatty and oil foods. Try to take salads, curd and other nutritious
food as lunch to keep healthy and fit.
- Always take time out to have few moments of break after sitting for
long before computer screen. Simply close your eyes and relax for a
few moments. Also get up and take a walk for 5 minutes to stretch your
body. It is very effective to avoid fatigue and muscle pain.
- Take ample water during the day even if you do not feel thirsty. Modern
AC offices may make you feel less thirsty but your internal body mechanism
needs water to keep the temperature at optimum level and enhance the
flow of oxygen to your brain.
- While coming back to your flat, make it a point to take stair case
up and not the lift. Remember the morning when you did the same thing.
- Do not stuff your self during dinner time. This is time to take light
food. Always have a minimum gap of 2 hours between your dinner and bed
time to avoid feeling grumpy in the morning.
